Transparency Hub

Clear Information. Responsible Stewardship. Trusted Resources.

Second Chance Parrots believes trust begins with openness. We are committed to providing clear information about our mission, governance, nonprofit filings, programs, and use of charitable support.

About us

Second Chance Parrots is a nonprofit educational and community resource organization. We do not operate a parrot rescue, sanctuary, adoption program, or surrender facility. Instead, we help people find trusted resources, learn about responsible lifelong parrot care, and connect with established rescues, sanctuaries, avian veterinarians, and other qualified organizations.

Our Commitment to Transparency

We are committed to:
– Clearly explaining what Second Chance Parrots does—and does not do
Maintaining responsible nonprofit governance and required filings
Sharing updates about our educational programs and resource projects
Identifying the purpose of fundraising campaigns
Distinguishing between donations supporting our organization and campaigns benefiting an outside rescue or sanctuary
Correcting outdated information when our programs or direction change
When we promote a fundraiser for a specific rescue, sanctuary, or charitable project, we will clearly identify the intended beneficiary and explain how the support will be used.

Second Chance Parrots submits the annual IRS filing applicable to our organization. Our current filing is the IRS Form 990-N, commonly called the e-Postcard.

You can use the IRS Tax Exempt Organization Search to verify our tax-exempt status and review available filings.
